Patience – A Winner’s Virtue

Between stimulus and response there is a gap called the time.
The gap is the opening for an apt response.
It is said, whilst in this gap,
when mulling over your response, you are alone.
The only helper you have is time.
Make it your own. Use it wisely.
What you say and do, cannot be taken back.
Beware how you respond,
or else you may reap a century of anguish.
Patience is an expression of faith,
that will deliver the desired outcome.
He who exercises patience may appear to be sluggish.
But he knows his inner faculties are hurtling at breakneck speed,
in search of a flawless resolution.
He may appear to be slow, but he is steady, and free of anger.
He may appear to be lost for an answer,
but he is commanding guidance from faith.
The world may not wait for he who is too patient,
but time will, because time is the wise collaborator of patience.
He who is patient is a humble victor in the end.
